A sneak peek - for NHRC eyes only! Can't see the sparkle very well in the pic, but it looks amazing! - Metajuls mixed with HOK Oriental Blue for the base coat, a light overcoat of Blue Candy & 3 coats of clear. Still needs a couple more days for buffing & putting back together, then I could do with someone to pinstripe it, but it's looking like it'll be ready in some shape or form for Silcoates Cheers, Robbo

Brought the blue-flamed beast home from the bodyshop this aft - looking all sparkly & shiny in the sun. Was a perfect day for it! Made a start putting some of the lights & trim back on, but still lots to do to get it in a presentable state for Silcoates! Hopefully some more good weather over the weekend & I can crack on!
Cheers, Robbo

Been a busy boy this weekend - lots of jobs ticked off the (very long) list. So far I've fitted new (old) front & back chrome lights, fitted a few other bits of trim, given the inside & boot a vac out, painted the boot floor, cleaned all the glass & dash - That was Friday & Saturday. Couldn't get any time on the car yesterday, cos we had family round for the day! So Back to it today & I've been on wheel & engine bay detailing duty - eee... it dunt look half bad now! Still loads to do though, but at least it's a bit more presentable for Silcoates next week! Cheers, Robbo

Try something like car plan tyre silk on your tyres and hoses, they come up a treat.
Looks a great finish from the pics.

Yeah mate, totally gutted! Was really looking forward to Silcoates & a first run out. Got half way there & the Zephyr kept cutting out. Managed to get it off the side of the road & had a look & saw fuel pi$$ing out underneath, from the tank. Only solution was to get it towed home . Managed to block off the fuel pipe from the tank temporarily to stop the leak, but it looks like the fuel pump is goosed, so I've ordered a new one. TBH it was a bit of a rush trying to get it ready for Silcoates & considering it's been off the road for over 4 years, I guess a few teething problems are to be expected! Trying to stay positive & hopefully I'll be back on the road for the next Leeds cruise. A big thanks to Deano for stopping to offer a tow home - cheers mate!
