Need to buy a radiator for the model A its not as easy as i thought it would be! Do i buy an ally one or brass? is there much differance ive seen it said that ally gets rid of the heat quicker so what do i get? any thoughts would be of a big help. PS theres a hell of a gap in prices

Copper (brass) conducts heat far better than ali. every man and his dog fits ali ones these days but thats down to availability and weight saving not cooling performance. If the copper is cheaper get that one. Don't believe me read this. www.caparadiator.com/aluminumvscopper.html

Thanks for that mate intresting bit of reading.There is a big difference in price $209 for the ally one $685 for the copper shipping is the same for both as they can go in the crate with the other bits that we got coming.So is it worth paying the extra $450 for a copper one??

In a word no. If the price was not so high than yes get the copper but the ali will do the job just fine

hi ian , my vote would be ally, for a street engine , you ant got a race motor in there have you? save the money sepnd it on something else to get the car done . deano

Thanks guys,Diane,s in charge of the purse strings on this one even if it is my money its her car.Bought the car 2 years ago when we were in Kentucky for my 60th back there this year for our wedding aniversary this time it cost me more than a bunch of flowers or a box of chocs.
