Bought a 4lb club hammer this morning, well Sue got it for me as I could not bend over enough to get in any of our cars. It might be easier to attack the wishbone shaft with this than swinging the sledgehammer in the limited space where the crossmembr is.

If you cannot fix it with a hammer you have an electrical problem

Most of back pain gone (or the pain killers are working) so its off to Screwfix tonight to get some overalls, its a bit nippy in garage with my shorts on.
Now have all the bits to make the back radius rods, poly bushes and rose joints etc. Carrier came today with some nice shiny cross drilled and grooved vented front discs. Just have to manage to get under van to get out all the old wishbones and hubs etc to start cleaning them up. Oh and the postie delivered a full set of poly bushes and stainless tubes for the front end.
Just found out that Jag front track is only about 1/2" different to Bedford so might be ok with 3 1/2" tyres on front without cutting crossmember
Busy Busy

Shot blasting and polishing in ernist now for the front suspension. Nearly finished the back radius rods, just a couple of brackets to weld on chassis and send off wishbones to get tubes welded in for rear shock mounts.
Just a small question, 10in rears and 3in fronts - how should I line them up? Centres, outer edge or does it matter.

Wish I had a lathe. Filed out some bits of tube to fit poly bushes in to fit on one end of the radius rods. Filed out the ends of the radius rods, heated them up and banged in the tapped bungs for the rose joints. Son knows someone that has a TIG welder to weld the bungs in. Not sure of final design yet because gearbox is in the way to mount them inline with the wishbone shafts. They may have to go forward a metre or so then bend in 90° so the suspension works without binding. Also got some new tracks rod ends in imperial size for the Jag rack. Still not sure whether to use this one, or adapt the new Fiesta rack I have. Busy cleaning up the front wishbones and making some brackets for the radius rods.

Old school work today, hacksaw, drill and file. Been making a pair of radius arm brackets to fit on the rear wishbones. Sore back gone, but man flu reared it's ugly head

Well, armed with a few cans of WD40 I've decided to attack this pile tonight before my back knacks up again.

Well thats all the bits (bearings, bolts and nuts) ordered for the front end, just got to clean it up a bit There's only about 2 in difference between the Jag front track and the Bedfords, plus the wheels I am using are narrower and the current Beford wheels are about 2 in inside the arches. Smiles all round
