Well, it was said and advertised as a small charity event, expecting 60 to 80 cars, what they actually got was closer to 200 vehicles, and blessed with some nice warm sunshine it wasn't a bad day at all.
Big D got to mine to clean up the 32 following yesterday's mad dash to get it back on the road, and with an hour and a half until we were due to set off we attacked it with vigour and it was soon looking proud and presentable.
We set off from mine at 8.30 and met up at PK's at 9am, to be met by an age old paper boy! ;D
Paul from Whitby Kustom 'Dumped his bags' and called in for a brew on the way past.
So as usual we had a great turn out, 9 cars! Not bad for an early season meet.
I have to say Robbo's Pop's stance is just right, it just looks all hot rod and he's got a smile from ear to ear, a well deserved one at that!!
I loved this a V8 Lexus Powered Toyota Celica.
There was a real mix of cars going on....
[Ian's freshly painted couple looked good in the sunshine...
One of the the first Reliants'.
This Mussie hails from Harrogate and it's gorgous, i'd have that as a daily.
Robbo:- 'Is that the 'Stig' over there?
Grum:- 'I think it is, but I cant see over that car roof'.
Damian:- 'If I shut one eye he might not see me'
I'm not a Rat Rod person, but the engineering on this is mega.....
Its got a real neat heater...
When this pulled in I thought 'Oh no a limmo' but id have that parked outside as a chill out room any day, get this......
Survivor or new build?
Ronnies toybox is awesome and the Mk1 took a trophy nice one mate.
John had the A out.....
So with Big D being a Stig lover I made his dream come true, there in the distance was 'The Stig' waiting for us to return.... I did'nt have the heart to tell him it won't be the real one, so keep it quiet cos he's a happy boy!!
So he jumped at this, then we had a tired and happy boy.
So a pretty good day, IF YOU DISCOUNT A COUPLE OF BROKEN NUTS OF COURSE!!
The car not D!!
