Great minds, spotted this earlier in the week on the auld bay, mines due soon (hopefully for Friday/Saturday) Balanced flue gas room heater keeps bench area warm, this will do for other side of garage. So good use of my £200 winter heating allowance.

Up and running, it eventually warms up the place but its a bit drafty to start with as fan speed seems a bit excessive. Oh and the lecy meters wizzing around.

Given up on this new heater, its just causes too much of a draught (not even a hot one) if you're more than a few feet away from it. So its going back tomorrow. I thought it might heat the garage up quickly but it doesn't. I have a 3kW oil heater which gives great heat around it, which eventually spreads out. So this winter I'll be using this and the room heater.

Gone back today anyway. Does the elements on yours glow red, mine just stayed black. There are some 3kW fanned garage heaters for half the price and with half the airflow. Might look into one of these for my birthday if the temp plumments in January.

Trouble is mines a wide/long garage with a high pitched roof. It was nice and cosy this afternoon with the room heater on.

Just ordered another 3kW one with a lower air flow, see how this one works out.

Heater arrived today, less than 1/2 the price of the other one and still 3kW. This one blows out nice and hot air and warms up garage a treat (outside temp was 13°C though), but the meter still spins like the clappers
