The sun made tonight what it was, no one was to know just how big a turn out this would be, even the organisers were on the back foot - it was heaving.
And whilst weve been there before to the cafe, this time the workshops were open, boy thats Garage Utopia!
So we left mine at 6.15 as planned ...once Tim had got there, fashionably late as usual......
Run through the countryside was great in the late afternoon sun...
We lost Martyn, we stopped, we waited, I rang him ..... to be told he was already at the second meeting point with big D, theres always one!!!
Girls in their summer clothes.....
Get this, now this is a workshop.......
One for the 'invisible' DC, depite numerous promises you missed it again boy!!!
The Cafe / Showroom area is just as cool as a cool thing.....
Its just full or well preserved cars, except one or two relics.....
Even Bri and Jill made one......
Now heres a rare thing, seen this about a couple of times but never at Leeds or Wakefield cruises and never cought up with the owner....Chopped V8 powered Austin Atlantic anyone.....
My fave set of cars......
Arty shot...........
''My names Tim and ive got a problem'''
Bit of Flake, four slots and some side pipes, would improve this no end.
Theres always one to lower the tone, no burn out they said, still it was nice whilst it lasted.........
Spot the odd one out...............
And so we threw away our rubbish and headed for home ;D
Another night of vapourising petrol for some, Sticking starters for others and some of us even lost a load of vibration!!!
Another top NHRC night.
