So with a bit of help from good ol Big D, the pipes began. We welded the bends into position and ground the welds. I then got the DA on it and finished the surfaces. That is untill the DA exploded!!! Rest was done by hand! We worked out the positioning to find where we needed to make the bracket drops from. We made up some brackets for the mounts and welded them in place along with captive bolts. Three on each side We offered up the finished pipes and then welded brackets to the pipes to mate up with the captive bolts Once all welds were clean and sandrd it was into the temperature controlled spray booth :-) Boom Still got to take the inlet end off and fix the cherry bombs in, but thats for another sat, im pleased with the look though

So again with Big D at it with me, not in the biblical sense obviously, we set to hookin up the side pipes. We removed the inlet ends we tacked on last week, and then removed the standard system. Made up some bends and welded in the cherry bombs. Plug welds for the cherry bombs... Old system out... Made up some flexi joint, pretty neat if i say so myself.. Finished of the inlets on the outer case and sprayed them in the temperature controlled spray booth. Result, actually its not. They sound shite, its way too loud, like a ricer on steroids, practically undriveable. Ahh well back to the drawing board :-( i need beer!!!

If the bombs at the front, swop the sides over so the bombs at the back of the system. This should be a lot quieter.

So with a painted visor, all the fixings in stainless me and Big D set about fitting it. We offered it up marked the fixing holes and cautiously drilled away. I put a dot of Hammerite on the bare steel once drilled just to protect it for now, Its all got to come off again for painting when i do the lot. Before we put the stainless screws in we put a dot of Marine Sealant on each hole to stop any water ingress. (Didnt know that marine sealant existed - god bless Yourube!) I then painted the plastic cover caps that go over the stainless fixings... Big D got on the roof to fasten the two center fixings... And i promptly moved the ladder like you do... :-) Caps on and .....,, Boom. Done. 20 min start to finish. Quite chuffed with that. Bit of rattle can blue left so wagged the frenched plate recess over on the back door just for now, ill finish it off when i get to do the bodywork for painting. That killed an hour, then we move to the Lemon, more weldy weldy, grindy grindy, cutty cutty!!!!
