Thought id start a thread. No doubt its gonna develop, Well after a (what seemed like a 10000) 500 or so mile round trip, me n Big D hit the road in search of threasure, my van to pick up from Chris's at Wolverhampton, on to Leicester to look at a Pontiac LeMan for D, up to Wakey to get the Pop for silcoates tomorrow and on to see not one but Two corvettes one a 79 one a 77 but more on that later. So got mi van, tow vehicle for Mi Camaro and my bed, (after we make up a hidden tow bar. Plans are flake it, visor, polished slots, bumpers off, arches and front spoiler oh and a pair of side pipes that came with a corvette!! A pair of heart shape port holes, and dralon, lots n lots o fur n dralon!!! Air horned and well anything wlse ive missed! So here we go...,, Heres how we picked it up.... Then theres this pic..,,,., Does it ring any bells? Mmmmmmm let me think?...,,,, Yup theres a pattern forming here, oh and a belly! Kin roll on summer, lets be avin it!

Ok so got to thinking about the interior and made a start last night. Needed some storage and something a bit quirky, so when the second row of seats come out tonight, this will go behind the drivers seat and have two seAts coming off it at 90degrees, one behind the driver and passager and one down the side. We made a basic box and using some block MDF routed the corners. We attached the sides and corners to the frame using dowels, glue and internal screws. The rebait at the bottom is the same as in the top that you can see. This will allow for internal timber fixings to attach it to the floor that are hidden. The top fits into a rebait and will hold two bottles and glasses/ cans and be illuminated frim underneath. It also provides storage inside below. Boom. Item one almost finished. Itll live in the corner where the seats are in the back here behind the drivers seat....

So first propper inspection of the underneath, got it on the ramp at Ds and didnt know what to expect, what we didnt expect was the mint underside we saw. Ive a receipt (infact lots of receipts) for a gear box overhall, its bloody brand new! So we plan to give it a brush off and shultz it, its real solid and simply dry. We greased all the nipples and stuck it on the brake rollers. Big tick from the local MOT man and alls good. Happy days, couldnt want for better.

Doesn't look too bad underneath. Is the paintwork original? and what engines it got.

It was an Airforce van, hence the blue. Its painted in the usual thin coat of paint you get with militaty vehicles. 3.9 V6. Not one bit of welding to do or done.
