can't answer that as such, but as far as I know the mtx is wired to your ecu in a similar way a normal o2 sensor is wired in, then your laptop connects via ecu, what ecu and what software for pc is it mate?

hi the mtx is wired to a wideband 02 sensor in ex, and the software is logworks, the ecu is a painless kit (inj harness and mefi ecu)bry

yes mate the o2 sensor connects to gauge but the gauge also needs to be connected to ecu as well, John Sleath is man to phone, he installed an emerald ecu on mine after trouble with a microsquirt, he has it set up so at normal driving revs it uses the mtx and learning map to adjust air/fuel ratio but when you put your foot down it stays on a set map, with regards to reading data, my ecu logs the data and John just plugs his laptop in after I get back to him and it gives him all the data he needs since he last connected to it, we did once go for a drive with his laptop connected but that was to alter the map.

mtx or most wide band o2 sensors are a good bit of kit for any ecu but all that 'ecu shit' nearly gave me a heart attack lol
