Evening all, long time no see, decided to step back from the 100e before I smash it to bits with my face, given all the problems I've had I'd thought I cant go wrong just cleaning bits lol, first I'll just post up previous pics n posts from the old site, so sorry if it looks weird
October 2011...................
ok so it's a 74 but I'm converting it to a 73, I wasn't due to start this 'till next year as I have zero spare time and money at the mo but the rust is growing at an alarming rate so thought I'd best make a start, plans are (and can and probably will change lol) 73 non rs front and rear conversion, pro touring sort of look but not massive rims, big block engine but would prefer ls engine if funds allow, original colour was silver but I'll probably go for grey or orange paint, still need a 70-73 front lower valance and a rear bumper if anyone has one please
been stripping it and having a poke here and there, don't seem bad at all, there's a fair few bits of welding to do but nothing big, overall pretty solid but I havn't checked everywhere yet lol, I'm gonna whip out the dash and rear seat tomorrow and see if there's any more, there's a lot of filler on the rear wings where the lower panel and new arches have been pop riveted on as well as a few riveted plates in the boot and inner arches.
there's a few more bits here and there and on the doors but all minor stuff, and who puts a Buick engine in a Camaro? :?:
really pleased with the overall condition just glad I didn't leave it any longer, gonna pick up some steel today to make a frame to stand it on its side, then I just need to find some cheap patch panels so my welder can lay into it, looks like the rear wings are gonna have to come off too.
Rotissary is done, cheers Danny, just need some money for metal bits now and some more mig wire and wire brushes and sand paper and paint etc etc etc lol and maybe a gazebo.
and on to now.................been collecting bits over the years, not as and when I need em but when they come up for a not to be missed price lol
got most of the panels to convert it but might need rear quarters yet, this was find of the year me last year
the Buick engine was good but my Dad still had the engine out of his 78 Z28 that was burnt out 20 years ago so sold the buick lump and went to London to pick it up
a bit of orange....
a bit of black....
add a few shiny bits and jobs a good un
