Well we popped up for a cuppa to Chris' to see how he was doing with his 100E and a fair amount of progress has been made.
The old Xflow and 4 speed bullet box has given up its residence...
The engine mounts are done and the new motor has been fitted. A lot of metal work has been cut out to allow the motor and box in to its new position, none less than the whole of the old tunnel had to be cut away. Chris' girlfriend Roy came over and gave a hand with the new tunnel, bit of a tricky install by all accounts.
The new Diesel Motor and 5 speed box are good to go and have already been trial fitted. Chris is keeping the old steering and suspension, should do the job just fine.
So another couple of weeks and the old girl should be rolling again. in the meantime he has a surplus X Flow and a couple of suitable boxes if anyone is in the market, if so give him a call.
So more MPG and a neet little motor to boot.
Chris will be doing night classes to learn how to post pictures soon!
Shocker!
Called up at Chez Round, he's stripped the Diesel Weezel!
Brazed all the panels chopped all rot out and its off for a paint to 'Porkies Paintshop shortly
Well a few weeks later and the old girls almost back together called up this morning for a brew and I can say the shines a mile deep, pictures just dont do it justice, he's even polished the wheels and and painted his slots white! Struggled with the shots due to room but its soooo straight. Just waiting for his prop to come back and its almost done. Nice one mate, looks great.
Its turned out real nice!
