new member here I have a 67 mk 1 transit was rodded in the late 70 s I found it after it was in a lockup for 20 odd years

Hi. Welcome to the NHRC. What a find that is, right out of the 70's love it! I went to the Wanderers shows over in Burton Constable, thats a great van. Whats your plans? Where are you based?

hi russ im over preston way,, I got the van in 2007 when it surfaced from a lockup in Halifax since then ive slowly rebuilt or replaced whatever its needed , I give it a coat of oxide primer before a paint job but I kind of like it matt red

Do you ever get to the Leeds Cruise? no russ I only get round and about work gets in the way as usual,, back in the eighties this van lived in Halifax and was about in Yorkshire a lot I found a diary under the seat with all the meeting places in it every one a boozer

Wow what a thing to find! How long was it laid up? from around 1986 ish to 2007 locked in a shed on some allotments so the seller told me, it was totally complete except for its keys,,, he delivered it for me his parting words were that will never get on the road again,,, proved him wrong

yes that's my thread that's how it was found, the brass wheel was in the cuboards,,, im a member there I also have a mk 2 lwb v6
