Bit of a loose end today, so polished thermostat housing as waiting for a new stat to be delivered. Also decided I needed some more storage space for bits and pieces that I can never remember where I put them. Still looking for a jigsaw that I only used a couple of weeks ago. Don't know why my pics always seem to come out large.

Made a few brackets today. One for fitting to the back of gearbox for a transmission cooler and the others to fit on the back of the heads for catch tanks.

Decisions, decisions. Did a deal in the 80's with Solvol and got 3x3lb tins, this is the last one (1/2 left).

These arrived this morning. Thought I was going to have a nice tin for a bit of garage decoration. Probably why is was the cheapest by about £7. The bubble wrap packaging was perfect so I think it was sent like this.

Had a couple of hours in garage this afternoon. Gave up trying to true up the flange on the old chrome water pump pulley. So polished a nice new billet one instead.

Up in the garage loft this afternoon and found these. See if I can get the Jag hub carriers cleaned up to start making the wishbones.

Had a go at fitting the new distributer tonight. What a bummer.
The old one came out alright, just missing the blower drive. But the new one would not fit as it had a larger vacuum advance and and extra 'electonic ignition bit' on the side.
Took off the advance mechanism refitted it then replaced the bits, and shit - the vacumm bit hit the thermostat housing and the electronic ignition bit hit the head.
Will see tomorrow if the old adavance unit will fit new distributer and see if I have to grind a bit off the head.
