Is that a Rock Autos panel from the US, if it is I bet its thicker than the repair panels you get in this country.

Well another day of cutting, welding, trimming up and grinding, and with another few hours we should see the end to the panels and patching, its been a long old haul this one but were nearly there with the main body at least. Next week may see the front panels go back on for line up and body work. There was no steel in the corners of the bottom of the door shuts so new plates were made for either end shaped and welded in. How this car was raced ill never know, it would have folded in on itself with one light kiss on the armco on a strip. Fronts the same, no metal just gobbo, not any more... New arch bottoms going in.... Another push next time....

Tuesday and more tin worm. First the rear off side light surround.... It was rotten from the join seam to the light so out it came, We fabricated a new section to go from the boot floor seam to the outer edge of the lamp housing... And welded boshed it and ground it into submission. Trouble is these parts curve in so many ways, there aint any repair panels so you got to make and mend... It has to be welded fully and ground back yet but you get the picture. Next the last large piece the off side end of the rear quarter.. Again you cant tell from the pics but theres more curves in this piece than chubby brown But we got there, it all takes time, cutting trimming and boshin!
