I m a long time rodder having first got into it in the late 70s. I have had a few cars with 2 being featured - 1 in Custom Car and 1 in Street Machine, hopefully they should be here if Ive uploaded them right. Ive been out of the scene for a while but Im looking to get back in.Attachments:

thanks for the compliments, Im in Northumberland. I ran the Victor as my daily for 2 years before selling it. The Rapier was built over 1 winter and taken to Billing as its first outing and was sold shortly afterwards. Im looking for a new project to start as Ive been out the hobby for a while, Im looking for something early 70s and I love estates

Thank you Starlyte for the link, I haven't seen it before, there is a lot of misinformation in there. The tsil fins were handmade to fit Mk1 consul tail lights, the grill was made from shower curtain tube and the fender skirts were made by bending the metal around a large gas bottle. Dave Potts from Rusty Knuts did the metal work and paint. The car was just a standard 1725cc Sunbeam Rapier and I collected it from just outside Liverpool. It was slow to drive and I got a puncture on the way to Billing. It was a right twat of a job getting the fender skirts off and the wheel changed on the hard shoulder of the M1 - prompting the sale of the car shortly afterwards. I bought a PC Cresta with the money and did that up ready for the Nationals at Braintree later in the season, that was a great car 6 of us in it and 90mph down the A1 - happy days

Both of them are class motors. You need a chat with 32 Sedan he has somone who has a few old motors, he parts with one or two occasionally, he had an old 70s Saab and an oxford cambridge we slammed to within an inch of sinkin into the tarmac.
