Good night tonight, engine and gearbox cleaned, degreased and painted. Fitted the engine and box back in the chassis. Bulkhead 2k primed and first colour coat on. Saturday one more colour coat then clear coat. Hope to then get the body back on the chassis.

It's as... Cold as the frog in his icebound pool. Cold as the tip of an eskimo's tool. It's as cold as charity And that's pretty chilly But not as cold as our poor Willy For Willy is dead, Poor b*stard!

Bit more strengthening put into the back end for stability by way of some diagonal sections And the body goes back on with new mounting rubbers.

Another push on tonight. We cut out the old roll cage mounts and plated them up... And cleaned out the boot area and gave it a good lashing with Hammerite black. Itll be covered but it will give good protection. Dynamat to follow later. We put all new body rubbers and new bolts in whilst the car was in the air too. So thats the body back on for the final time. We then gathered round the grinder for a warm and a sing song, jeez its cold down the fridge!! Were having saturday off cos were a bit full of Le'mon (see what I did there? :-) ) so a break might be nice. Back Tuesday next week....

So after a weekend off we were on fire tonight, Got seans body on the chassis, then built a frame for the le'mons back seat, its shapin up now..,. Bloody flash!!! We un picked the leather and carefully removed a 4" strip at the back of the seat base to get the position it needed and tucked the excess under for now. It will be trimmed up later. Next we got the headrests ligned up with the parcel shelf and marked them to get the distance right and the mount holes where we needed to put the fixings using the seat original bracketry. Kerching, pleased with that, D messed his pants!! Incorporating armrest and access panel to the boot, sorry, Trunk! For that extra bit of luxury motoring. Just a bit of fabrication at the rear to do and theyll fold in the usual 60/40 split fashion to give access to dem big base bins init!! That was a good o'l night!
