Well known van of it's day, the 'Drips Plumbing' Fordson van. Another Fordson, this time Keith Atkinson's 'Tivoli Kitchens'. One for the Pop lovers, the front one I think was part of the York Street Dreams club.

Dewsbury lad Dave Cooper and his Rover V8 powered A roadster. it was mint! Doncaster based Cliff Moore and his chopped '46 Vauxhall, 283ci Chevy powered with a sniff of nitrous. Here's my van, unfortunately were waiting for the cruise home. Only another year to wait before we were there again! Cool parking pics were always available at Bruntinthorpe. Here's the Rutherford Bros Rover V8 5-window coupe and the 'Milner Racing' 3-window version. There was a lot more open engined Pops I thought back then. A very well known car, Kim Leonard and the 'Happy Home Bakery' model B delivery, parked next to my 'Moulin Rouge'. Always a big meet for the 'Tri-Chevy Club' to attend. Oh, the racing, I can't describe how excited I used to feel, when perhaps your mates car was lined up against one you'd just been reading about in one of the 3 magazines that were out back then. Here's two 60's Fords arguing it out. Pink Reliant used to raise a few sarcastic smiles, not when it run though, the Jaguar powered little van was very quick indeed. Remember the 'Old Skool Bus'? It went everywhere! Brian Marshall, from Scunthorpe's 'Bridge County Cruisers' and his blown Rover powered '30's Rover delivery up against a blown V6 Rodshop' '29 model A coupe.

Yes Medusa, loved that old car gave me a lot of pleasure. But I'm afraid it got written off by a National Express coach.

The history part of rodding is great. Especially when you think how things were no mobiles no internet.
I think we all did remarkably well to build Rods and Customs ......and to keep in touch!!
Thanks for posting boys ....memories are fantastic.
